    Adoration Opportunity for Moms at Prince of Peace

    A new mother's group plans to meet for Eucharistic Adoration the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at Prince of Peace. Moms and kids will meet at the St. Maximilian classroom in the lower level of the church. Half of the moms will head upstairs to pray in the chapel from 9:30-0:00 am, while the other half watches the children. After 30 minutes, the moms will switch and the group doing childcare first will participate in Adoration for about 30 minutes.     St. James Health Ministry:

    Diabetes Screening: One out of Three American Adults have prediabetes. And 9 out 10 people with prediabetes don't know they have it. A coalition of the Diabetes Referral Network and Buffalo County Community Partners will provide a free diabetes screening for adult parishoners right here at the church Wednesday March 13th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  It would be very helpful to know the number of people interested to plan for supplies.  Contact Judy Drown at jdrown1223@gmail.com.

    Supplies going to Butte, NE Area. Due to the damages from the flooding and weather, a semi-truck will be in the St. James parking lot on Friday, March 22nd from 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. to gather supplies that are much needed in the Butte, NE area. They are asking for any non-perishable items, such as: toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, plastic silverware, baby wipes, granola bars, water, kids juice packets or anything you can think of, they need! Walmart has donated 2 pallets of water then they will fill the rest of the semi with the donated items. What that community doesn’t use will be taken to other areas.     Religious Education: Classes run Wednesday, September 19th, 2018-April 24, 2019. Due to KCHS renovation, we are asking that the children be brought into the building through the North Entrance. Please use St. James par king lot. We will gather the children in the Multi-purpose Room. Thank you for your cooperation.

    Adoration Opportunity for Moms at Prince of Peace

    A new mother's group plans to meet for Eucharistic Adoration the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at Prince of Peace. Moms and kids will meet at the St. Maximilian classroom in the lower level of the church. Half of the moms will head upstairs to pray in the chapel from 9:30-0:00 am, while the other half watches the children. After 30 minutes, the moms will switch and the group doing childcare first will participate in Adoration for about 30 minutes. The Central Nebraska Respect Life Conference will take place on Saturday, April 6, at the Younes Convention Center in Kearney, NE.  Registration starts at 9:30 am and the conference will end at 2:00 pm. Cost for Adults is $20 and includes lunch; high school and college age students are free. The theme for the conference is “Unlocking the Truth about Contraception and Women’s Health” and is age appropriate for juniors in high school and older. Seating is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Deadline for registration is April 2, 2019.
